DayidaDesigns workshops are set in scenic southern Indiana. Bring your friends and spend the day 'Needleweaving in Nashville.' Later on, have fun exploring Brown County's acclaimed art galleries, theaters, shops and restaurants.
OR. . . host a workshop at your location. Comfortable seating, good lighting and space for supplies are all that's required from you—I'll provide the rest. Currently limited to Indiana.

What is needleweaving anyway?
Needle weaving, or pin weaving, is an off-loom form of weaving that can be used to create fiber jewelry and decorative art. Although it is time-intensive, the techniques used are not difficult.
A lightweight pin-loom, strung with a sturdy warp thread, provides a portable framework to weave on. Tapestry needles threaded with perle cotton or other fibers are used for the weft, or weaving thread.
Beads are strung on the vertical warp threads that are wrapped around pins. I began weaving this necklace in the upper left corner. To watch as it progresses, follow my blog: Needleweaving with Nature.
Beads may be incorporated into the warp, or added later as embellishments. With the abundance of beads and yarns available today, there has never been a better time to explore this unique fiber art.
